We’re looking for an experienced Senior Email and SMS Copywriter and Marketer to join our team on a contract basis with the potential to become a full-time position. You will work with members of the Silk + Sonder team to develop and execute an effective email and SMS marketing strategy. 

Responsibilities

Campaigns

  • Planning the campaign calendar in advance and coming up with ideas for the campaigns
  • Writing copy for the campaigns
  • Audience segmentation
  • Scheduling campaigns

Flows

  • Planning the automated flow strategy
  • Writing copy for the flows
  • Flow set up and implementation
  • Continued iterative testing to improve performance of flows 

Design

  • Directing and collaborating with designer on email designs
  • Making sure designs are conversion optimized and on-brand

Reporting

  • Present email and SMS performance on a weekly basis
  • Analyze the data to make informed decisions on campaigns, flows, audience segmentation, design, and more

List Health

  • Make sure email deliverability is strong
  • Optimizing email and SMS collection forms to increase list size
  • Correct audience segmentation and list cleaning

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience with email and SMS marketing
  • Experienced with Klaviyo, Shopify / Recharge, and Attentive (or similar SMS platform) 
  • Thrive in high-pressure, high-sales environments
  • Comfortable with data and numbers and you can see trends in data
  • Excellent pattern recognition and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize your workload
  • You understand that you’re working with a high-growth e-commerce brand and managing our email and SMS marketing, which means from time to time, you’ll be expected to reply to messages on the weekend or late in the evening
  • Extremely user centric and eye for strong creative 
  • Hungry for growth and willing to put in the work
