MORNING ROUTINE:
FIRST THING I DO AFTER WORK:
During the school year, I would say I wrap up around 10 p.m. and then watch TV with my family. When I don't have school, I get to wrap up around 7 p.m., and I take the dogs on a walk with my family and hang out with my friends.
DINNER RITUAL:
I typically start preparing my meal at 5 p.m., and I try to always cook my food at home at least during the week. I reserve the weekends for going out with my friends, so during the week I cook myself and eat healthy meals.
NIGHTTIME ROUTINE:
I really enjoy television, specifically watching anything related to drag. My unwinding consists of watching episodes of Rupaul's Drag Race and videos of drag on Youtube. I typically start my unwinding around 8PM after I have finished my work after dinner. I like to watch a bit of TV before I shower, and then I brush my teeth and watch some more drag videos. Some nights I will get to hang out with my friends to unwind, but since moving home for the summer it is a bit trickier to schedule that out.SELF-CARE GUILTY PLEASURE:
I would have to say it is eating oreos haha! It is my favorite junk food, and I don't get to eat them all the time, but sometimes after a tough day I will have a few.
WORKDAY SELF-CARE HACK:
I like to sit down and enjoy my meals without any work distractions, so when I am eating I get to focus on eating.
HOW DO YOU DEFINE SELF-CARE?
Self-care to me is identifying actions and thoughts that rejuvenate your mental health and then coming up with actionable steps to make them happen.
FAVORITE CHILDHOOD TOY OR HOBBY:
My favorite childhood toy was this little remote-controlled, Spongebob Squarepants themed racetrack. I would play with it all of the time, but it tended to break a lot whether it was dead batteries or the car flipped off the track. It was a time where I was able to identify problems and find solutions. Weirdly enough, this toy ignited the passion I have for problem solving because the quicker I found a solution, the quicker I was back to having fun!
